What we offer

Key Duplication you can count on

Not every key job needs a full service call. We cut spare keys for houses, mailboxes, cabinets, sheds, and gates using code-matched blanks so the copy works as reliably as the original. Standard residential and commercial keys are cut and tested on the spot. Keys stamped 'do not duplicate' or cut on a restricted keyway need authorization first — we'll explain what that involves rather than just refusing the job outright.

  • House & apartment key copies

Standard residential keys — Schlage, Kwikset, Yale, and most other common brands — are cut from code-matched blanks and tested in your lock before we leave, so you know the copy works.

  • Mailbox, cabinet & furniture keys

Smaller specialty keys for mailboxes, filing cabinets, desks, and furniture use different blank profiles than door keys. We carry a wide range of these less-common blanks on the van.

  • High-security & restricted keys

Keys marked 'do not duplicate,' or cut on a patented restricted keyway, require verification before we'll cut a copy — usually confirming you're an authorized key holder for the property. This protects you as much as the property owner.

  • Cutting from a lock, not just a key

Lost your only key entirely? In many cases we can pick the lock, then cut a new key by decoding the lock itself rather than needing an existing key to copy from.

Frequently asked questions

Can you copy a key that says 'do not duplicate' on it?+

We can, but only after verifying you're authorized to have a copy — typically by confirming with the property owner or property manager on record, since that stamp exists specifically to prevent unauthorized copies. If you're a tenant, homeowner, or authorized key holder, this is usually a quick confirmation. We won't cut these keys for someone who can't establish that they're supposed to have one, even if they have the original key in hand.

Why do some of my keys cost more to copy than others?+

Cost mostly comes down to the blank. Standard residential keys use common blanks we keep in bulk. Less common profiles — certain European brands, older furniture hardware, specialty mailbox systems — use blanks we may need to source, which raises the cost. Restricted and high-security keys use patented blanks that are more expensive to purchase and require authorization to cut at all, which is reflected in the price.

Can you make a working key if I've lost the only one I had?+

Often yes, without needing to replace the whole lock. We can pick most residential and light commercial locks, then decode the lock's pin configuration directly and cut a new key to match — no original key needed. This costs more than a simple copy since it involves both entry and decoding, but it's usually still less than replacing the lock hardware entirely.
